Held at the Martial Arts Institute in Northridge,
California, instruction is tailored to the needs of
law enforcement.
Special attention is paid to:
• Arrest and control techniques based on pain
compliance
• Non-sport, tactical ground fighting
• Weapons retention
• Weapons disarming
• Multiple assailant defense
• Edged weapons defense
• Improvised weapons awareness and application
• The use of impact weapons, including the expandable
baton
• Ultimate fitness through martial arts: aerobic
and anaerobic conditioning
• Nutritional guidance and program development
• Individually tailored to meet all work schedule
conflicts, including weekends

Learn Realistic Self Defense
at the Martial Arts Institute
Classes are held at The Martial Arts Institute.
Learn realistic applications of at least six different
martial arts including:
• Hapkido
• Judo
• Boxing
• Kick Boxing
• Submission Wrestling
• Weaponless Defense
Emphasis is on the application of technique to realistic
self-defense encounters, in all ranges of fighting,
including non-sport, tactical ground fighting and multiple
assailant attacks.
Supporting instruction is given in the areas of awareness,
tactical planning and fear management.
